Today, i realised with a renewed sense of revelation the incredible power of the spoken word. Throughout the Bible, Jesus commanded, called, spoke, declared, said... Miracles, wonders and signs were the physical and tangible manifestations of His spoken word. He called the lame to stand, He told the blind man to see.
It was this morning as i was answering my sister's question on why prayers need to be said out loud rather than silently thought in our hearts that i learnt, as my own words formed and flowed out of my mouth, that a spoken prayer has far greater strength and fiercer faith than when kept inside of us.
