(another) reunion dinner
finally it seems like CNY has come to a close after this weekend... this year seems rather different than previous years...for me, anyway. somehow it's quieter and there's less of the usual festive, celebratory energy around... it just feels less alive.
we (sze, sherm and i) went to steph's house for visiting this afternoon and we totally love her home. it's one of the most comfortable and cosy and homely homes i've been to. and her room is uncluttered and neat like you wouldn't believe. her dog is uber adorable. i just realised all the dogs i've come across and played with are like white, small, look like soft toys and have bouts of energy. sigh... now i REALLY want a dog like there's a hole in my heart if i don't get one.
things i love about CNY:
1. popo's delicious, impeccable cooking
2. the second day
3. the warmth coming from gathering of family and friends
4. opportunity to feel less guilty about buying clothes that i hardly wear
5. no school
6. pineapple tarts (wrapped ones)
7. steamboat
things i don't like:
1. ubiqutous playing of CNY songs (they sound irritating regardless of whether they're improvised or original)
2. being bored to death while my parents chat with people i've never seen
3. the first day
