watched The Dark Knight with grace on monday. well the show was deep...and dark. Heath Ledger did an excellent job playing Joker...actually excellent is a major understatement. the theatre's environment was the worst i've encountered yet. first there were these 2 guys of a certain race seating diagonally in front of us who wouldn't stop talking at the top of their voices throughout the entire show (except for the really tensed scenes where the whole cinema was dead quiet. this is how you know a show's solid good - even the morons shut up to watch.) second, there were these kids and their mother behind us. the kids kept moving around and their mother didn't even do anything to make them stop. she must've thought this was the cartoon version of Batman and, oops, realised it wasn't some light-hearted comedy hence the kids got bored and started annoying others. ironically, the mother must have been WAY into the show, judging from the fact that she couldn't tear herself off the seat to bring her full-bladdered kid to the loo, resulting in him peeing into a plastic bag. grace and i thought she was pouring water. boy were we wrong. you know, there's potty-trained....and then there's plastic bag-trained. utterly revolting.

yesterday junie and i went vivo. did some shopping but it didn't feel that satisfying somehow. which is weird. havent seen junie in ages even though we go to the same campus (well, technically.) anyhow, school's starting...mixed feelings, really.

originally i wanted to give a long granny account of what happened but i'll let the photos do the talking. there's something i need to say here and that is: to everyone who came and helped out and not only did not grumble but had the gracious understanding of saints, THANK YOU SO MUCH. i can't have better friends than all of you.

here's the link. some pics are taken by xuyun i dunno which ones sorry, xuyun! and there are a lot more please visit xuyun's facebook!

this is a totally random post. everybody, this is my sister (in case you don't get to see her this sat.)

oh regarding her outfit it's what she wore to the CosFest (anime costume-playing festival) a few weeks ago. and i picked it out for her.

my sister - on her way to becoming a bung. ok just kidding she'd totally kill me if she saw this. and here are the things i did in an extreme state of boredom.

yes i changed my blogskin. again. it's kinda fun to keep changing it cos the old one gets boring after a while. anyway, i bumped into Jane at raffles city today!!! of all the places and people! actually it was more of like she saw me first then shouted my name and i looked up, stunned for a while, before we both started screaming for about 10 seconds with me saying ohmygod (forgive me, God) about 5 times in between. just can't believe i saw her. yes i love over-reacting it's in my genes can't help it.

here's the lesson of the day: the satisfaction of retail therapy cannot be fully appreciated until one goes through a period of severe financial defeciency. i love shopping (when i'm not broke). why didn't this intense interest or realisation or newfound love or whatever kick in earlier?! all those years i missed out on all that fun. to think that in the past i dreaded walking through the malls with my mom (partly also because she likes looking at utterly uninteresting things like pots and pans and kettles and the next best oven), rushed to glue my butt onto the chair in any shoe shop my mom went into like i havent sat down in years, wondering when can we go home...now it's like the opposite cos i'll be like "let's go there!" and "eh look at that!" and my mom's always like "where's the chair" and "when can we sit down". but i don't blame her of course cos it's what age does to anyone so i better use up all my chances of walking for hours before i get to the stage where the chair is my best friend.

I managed to change my blogskin through some miracle! whoohoo. this isnt exactly aesthetically amazing but i like the photographer thing and yeah. birthday was full of splendid surprises and i'm less depressed now cos i'm a bit richer. i kinda can't wait for this sat to see everyone but kinda dread it also cos dunno how it'll turn out since i'm not superhost, martha stewart nor erm...what's her name. anyhow, do hope everyone will enjoy themselves. i think like there's 30 people altogether now and it'll be a collective effort to keep the noise level at like... xx (fill in acceptable figures) decibels. trying to help my irritating chinese-illiterate sister to write her 1000-word essay. excruciating.
